This series of courses and elements of these courses are taught and utilized to equip, law abiding civilians, security services and select law enforcement departments that operate in some of the most volatile areas of South Africa including central Johannesburg and the famous Cape Flats with lifesaving skills that make sure they get home safely to their families at the end of their workdays.
We have selected two focus and one comprehensive course that can be attended in isolation but for those of you that are able to attend all three courses will integrate and build on each other. No formal martial arts experience is necessary but for those of you that have a martial and or firearm background, materials are structured so that in the future your will easily be able to assimilate new or existing skills into the MDW frameworks you will work through during these courses.

MDW Handgun Weapon Access and Retention provides participants a structured framework for EDC carry and/or duty carry handgun owners. The focus is on achieving handgun access and retention during clinch and ground struggles.

MDW Focus Course – Empty Hand – Edged Weapons-Grab and Stab
WHEN RUNNING IS NOT AN OPTION!!
Clinch range with edged weapons creates extremely challenging dynamics.
Join us and develop your framework to recognise the variables and tip the scales in your favour.
- Countering the grab and stab.
- Knowing when to break out and when and how to make contact.

MDW Rusty Gunman- MANAGING CHAOS
Managing Chaos is the flagship course for MDW. Along with handgun manipulation carry, presentation, handling and malfunctions for field work this course addresses pistol access and retention for contact and close-range firearm and edged weapon encounters. Threat recognition and decision making considering both values and belief systems aligned with legal considerations are a constant thread.
